Maunakea Marketplace

I’m not sure what we expected when we came here, however, to say it did not meet expectations would be an understatement. We walked around to see if there was anything interesting, but sadly it didn’t appear there was anything we wanted to get. My father-in-law wanted to buy a Hawaiian shirt, but I’m not sure how that conversation went considering he doesn’t speak English. We took some pictures, browsed a bit more and left after 15 minutes.

Great place to grab an authentic meal.

This place is great!! The thai food, Vietnamese food, dim sum, and especially all the fresh produce, meat, and fish selections.

If you are in Honolulu I would highly suggest you stop by this market. A lot of the items that you find in Waikiki will be here for a much better price. The people here are very friendly and have a ton of advice of places to visit. If you love interacting with locals, stop by.

A mini food court of authentic Filipino, Chinese, Korean, n Vietnamese foods. Outside a array of kiosk shops selling a variety of clothes, accessories along with souvenirs of the Chinese cultures. Outside and indoor seating. Restroom is a hassle to get the key for and is on the second floor. Handicap accessible but a tight squeeze at some points. Except a lot of people all the time since it's a regular gathering place for the local asian community. You also can find a lot of exotic culturally influenced produce. Enjoy ur visit. Ps. Parking can be a challenge. I suggest getting there via the bus or taxi. Biki bikes are also a good solution
